Martin I. Washington II is a McDonald’s franchisee with restaurants in the Greater Austin area. He is originally from Michigan, graduating with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. Martin relocated to the Austin area in 2000, where he acquired his first restaurant in Cedar Park. Currently, the organization has restaurants in Cedar Park, Leander, Austin, Georgetown, and Liberty Hill.
Martin began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer with Babcock and Wilcox near Akron Ohio, then spent over 20 years with IBM, where he was a Systems Engineer, Marketing Representative, and Senior Instructor for Personal and Professional Development. He received the Inaugural Franklin Covey International Leadership Facilitator of the Year Award in 1997 and has been presented numerous awards from McDonald’s Corporation. Martin is a lifetime member of the University of Michigan Letterwinners Club (played football for the U of M), and a lifetime member of the Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc., and the University of Michigan Alumni Association.
Martin is married to Wendolyn (Neal) Washington and is the proud father of five adult children and five grandchildren. He enjoys walking the Golf Course, and learning to play Bridge and believes one of his greatest accomplishments is giving back to the community.
